Question:
Are you familiar with the work of Janice Walton-Hadlock? Did you develop your theory of trauma independently from her theory?
Margaret
Response:
Yes, I am very familiar with her excellent work with regard to Parkinson’s. I took all of her arguments into consideration when I developed my own theory of trauma. My theory differs significantly from hers. Her theory of trauma is very specific and targeted.
My theory is much more general and embraces the possibility that many different forms of trauma can cause the symptoms. I am writing up an explanation of my theory of trauma in my forthcoming book, The
Road to Recovery.
Janice asked that I not link to her website from my website because she did not want people to get confused between her theories and mine. I have of course honored her request though I would have preferred to have a link to her work from my websites.
